What David says: The collection of immense, stylized letters I found in the  Las Vegas neon light graveyard and these intriguing chess pieces screamed out for  me to wave my creative spark wand. In this artwork, I've breathed life into the knight pieces, giving them eyes that are reminiscent of a 60's sci-fi movie. 

The scene is set in the landscape of Las Vegas, as part of my series in this work. I digitally painted these hills a vibrant blue to evoke the essence of the Australian terrain. Unlike the blue skies we often see in Australia, the American sky tends to appear a stark white, prompting me to infuse it with a rich blue hue in my painting. 

This transformation required a meticulous and deliberate effort to harmonize the colors and unify the various elements, ultimately bringing the entire composition to life.
